    Hi, I'm new here, I've searched this forum and found nothing yet regarding a procedure to downgrade win7 to xp, any help would be much appreciated, in specific I have a dv5 2139la and I want to install on it windows xp.

    Why do you want to install Windows XP on this laptop?

    Although Windows XP drivers may exist for the majority of components, they might not work properly with this OS on your computer (not to mention the fact that WinXP is also in Extended Support Phase with no more mainstream support).
