    DV5000 with Core 2 Duo Anytime soon??

    Will the DV5000 be available with Core 2 Duo anytime soon???

    I doubt it. I think HP is selling out inventory now that the DV6000 is out. CompUSA was selling a decent DV5000 configured with AMD 64 2x processor, 1 GB mem, 80 GB hard drive....for $599 - that's inventory sell off.

    I would have went for it except for all the keyboard issues voiced on this forum.

    yes, however many people like the style of the dv5000 better, not to mention the fact that there's a premium price on the 6000 cause its new and shiny...

    OK thanks for the input. Im also looking at the E1505. They got the 2 Duo there.

    I guess its going to be either the E1505 or the DV6000T.

    I'm leaning towards the DV6000z...vs. the DV6000t....it's about $170 difference (today) and my needs don't really require the umph of the core duo 2...but 64 bit is what I want.

    With the e1505 I think the 4mb cache duo core 2 is priced at like $225 over the core duo....you could do the 2mb core 2 for $100 more.
