Hi all, im seriously considering opening my DV5000t and installing a Core 2 Duo T7200 CPU. Yes, I have read the service manual, and know there is like half a dozen tricky steps to do before reaching the CPU Socket, but im willing to take the risk. Just wondering if anyone knows if HP has released a BIOS that actually supports Core 2 Duos for the DV5000t?

I didn't think you could buy a seperate CPU yet. I am pretty sure that Intel is only giving to computer manufacturers right now since they are pretty new.

Yeah, those of us planning to do this upgrade need to wait until Intel provides Merom CPUs to the companies that want them, first.
