Anyone knows if Hp is abandoning this model?
Went to the website and it's no longer there.
    There's only the DV6000t available.

    Anyone?

Any reason you went for the 5000t rather than the 6000t?

    About 400 reasons why.

Glad I got mine in, I love the design so much mroe than the 6000, though I wish they offered imprint for the 5000.

I think they are going to phase out the 1000/5000/8000 series.
It is like a while-supply-lasts thing.

The dv6000t is a better notebook in my own opinion, but to each his/her own.

    Thanks for the input.
    I was lookink foward for a DV5000t.
I rather enjoy the look of the laptop and the pcmcia port wuold come in handy.
With any luck they only phase it out in Portugal in a couple of months.
