This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     DV5127ea: Fn Hotkeys Issue

    I just had a clean install of XP Pro (SP2) on my computer, and now i note that these Fn key combinations dont work as hotkeys (the remaining ones work perfectly)

    Fn + Esc (System Info)
    Fn + F1 (Help & Support)
    Fn + F6 (Quicklock)

    not sure whether Fn + F4 (Alt. display) works or not

    I use the quicklock button a lot, although the Winkey + L combination works, but sometimes when windows gets cranky, quicklock is my rescue.

    What could be the problem? Any suggestions.
