    Hey everyone,

I have a DV5T and just the other day the USB devices stopped working, my printer, my mouse, etc.

They provide power, because when I plug my laptop cooler in via USB it kicks on, does anyone know how or why it won't recognize the USB devices?

    Thanks all!

It won't recognize anything that was always working well, neither one of my USB mouse(s), they both used to work perfectly, now all the sudden they don't.

Its really simple, just go to device manager and Uninstall all the USB drivers. Restart windows and reinstall the latest USB drivers from HP.COM. Your problem will be instantly solved.

The problem seemed to fix itself, I unplugged all the USB devices, re-booted vista and plugged them back in and they worked.

    Thanks guys.

This has happened to me also. However, it will happen again. Installing drivers or uninstalling them and so on does not always solve the issues, especially when there is hardware issues.
