Has anyone else had an issue where the DVD tray was ejecting randomly? I haven't been able to detect a pattern, but it will eject on its own without my doing anything.
The notebook sits on a desk 99% of the time, so it's not being jostled or anything.

me too, same problem.

Yup. I returned mine. I had 2 and my first one never did that. The first one was actually just better overall built, considering my 2nd one had clicky keyboard keys, some click where it's not supposed to be, and that optical drive opening randomly. I called and they told me iti might not have been locked in well enough or something like that. Anyway, returned both laptops and won't be having one for awhile (not hp's fault, just don't need one till a year from now.)

I'm past the 21-day return period though. Maybe I should call HP and ask about my options? (and maybe they can fix that stupid BLservice.exe error too. I chatted with them about that, but their solution didn't work.)

You can send it back for repairs.
