Trying to get rid of the bloat.

I found some stuff like Slingbox(dont even know WHAT this was doing on here) and other obvious things to delete.

Anything I should disable through msconfig or completely uninstall that might not be so obvious?

I run Decrapifier and Startup Inspector on all computers, gives descriptions of things to keep/delete. Then run CCleaner.

I have in no way the ability to confirm the veracity of what's in this picture of the warning I received when I started to open the download of Decarpifier, I can only tell you what happened and show you the result in picture form.

Well, I use dev's download page and to my knowledge it isn't a trojan. It just rips out what ever is installed and verified in their database as bloatware, of course only when i allow it to.

I cant do a fresh install
They did not give me a Vista disk.

They used 1/3 of my hard drive to load vista filled with bloatware on my laptop

    its quite the lame scam

I believe you can use a legal MS Vista Repair disk to do the reinstall. There are also instructions floating around about how to use your OWN files to make a reinstall disk. Google :)

Also, you should be able to contact HP and for a nominal fee/free, they will probably send you a reinstall disk, I know Dell does this.

Read the clean installation guide sticky, you will need to obtain a Vista install disc though.

This way is much better and easier than uninstalling.

All vista cd's contain all the versions (basic,HP, ultimate). You just need to borrow ANY sort of Vista Install disc and just use your own key.

That's not the point of my post, I do know I can use Install disc to reinstall. My point is, how to do it with Vista Recovery disc, AFAIK I can't reinstall Vista with that disc.
    Sorry if I'm wrong.
