So I got my new DV5t on Thursday and I just downloaded BatteryMon to check the status of the battery. I got a standard 6 cell battery.

So when i checked the first time, it showed that the design capacity was about 64000mWh and a full charge capacity of 29000mWh.

Then I turned the lappy off charged it to full. Turned it on and now it has a design capacity of 88000mWh and a full charge capacity of 61000mWh.

I'm not sure whats happening. Should the design capacity and full charge capacity be almost identical given the battery is almost brand new? Or am I completely wrong?

Also, what is the usual design capacity of a 6 cell HP lithium ion battery.
