I just got my dv5t today. Everything works great but the quick launch button - the red mute light refuses to turn white when I tried to change it. It remains red but the function works as normal - the volume icon on the screen changes.

Does anyone here have similiar problem and know how to solve it? Thanks!

Its the audio drivers that controls the mute lights.

when that happens to me i usually just press the quickplay button and then press the mute/unmute button and it will change accordingly

This happened to me too after doing a clean install, it happened everytime I turned my laptop on and stayed red the whole time. Recently it stopped, I'm not sure what fixed it though so I'm sorry I cannot give you a solution. Some of the things I did was reinstall vista's SP1 and download every window's update.

I wish I could give you a definite solution, the laptop looks way nicer with the white lights.
