    DV6 6121tx giving me electric shocks!

    I had heard about bad build quality, but never expected this from HP.

    My HP DV6 6121tx is giving me mild electric shocks when plugged in to AC power. Not all the time, but enough that it's noticable.

    It's mild around the palmrest areas, and it's a bit less mild around the left edge (where the 3.5mm jacks are).
    What could be the cause of this? I don't understand how this can be an issue with modern electronic equipment!

    It sound like an earthing problem, does your hp have an figure eight or an cloveleaf power cable that plugs into the power adaptor, are you using a power extension cable?, have you tried a different power socket in a different room.
