    Does anyone have, or know where i can find a video or diagram of the assembly of a dv6t quad (current model). I was pretty confident pulling apart my old dv6 3032tx (the previous generation of pavilions - before cool sense etc.) but i don't want to risk snapping or bending anything in my new laptop before i check it out.

    any help would be appreciated - Cheers.

    ^ i don't think its the same laptop.

    it's pretty easy to disassemble 6000 series but when u need to pry out the left side to remove the motherboard.. its pretty hairy.

    In your original message you mentioned two different models. The dv6-6180us and the dv6t, so that's a bit confusing as they are two different, yet similar models.

    If it's the dv6-6180us info you're looking for, if you visit the following link you can download the Maintenance and Service Guide, which has all the instructions needed to disassemble the machine. It's a very good guide, complete with illustrations.

    Turns out.. if you remove the speaker 1st, it will be ALOT easier to remove the motherboard..
