I bought yesterday the DV6 6b03ss and, although there are some positive things like the i7 CPU and AMD 6770M GPU, there are also a lot of crappy things.

    My experience so far:
    - The most annoying issue is with the wireless card. The crappy Broadcom 4313 is dropping the connection like hell and, even after updating to the latest driver version, the issue still persists, although there seems to be small improvements
    - The finger print reader: I set it up and tried to log in, but no luck. After a few reboots it suddenly started to work and now it is ok
    - The sound: I tried to connect the headphones to the first jack, but it just disabled the front speakers. I tried on the second jack, but this time it disabled the rear speakers. In both cases, nothing could be heard in the headphones. Strange enough, this morning everything was ok and plugging the headphones mutes the speakers and the sounds is redirected to the headphones
    - I tried to play Starcraft II without updating the GPU driver. Not really a good idea because both CPU and GPU heat a lot and the fans are very loud. Moreover, trying to exit the game seems to freeze the machine completely and the only fix is a hard reset. After updating the GPU driver everything seems to be smoothly

Of course, I´m planning to reinstall Windows and install the latest drivers, but I just wanted to see how crappy is the default installation from HP. I was expecting things to be slower due to the bloatware, but having things not working without manually updating almost everything, I think is unacceptable.

In the end I´m quite happy with the laptop with the exception of the wireless card which is horrible. If anyone knows any specific driver version or any other tips, please share. As a side note, my old HP laptop, phone, eBook reader and wife´s laptop are working just fine with the router I have, so the problem is definitely from the Broadcom chip.
