    Does anyone know if the dv6t-6xxx supports UEFI, and if so, how do I use it?

    Yes and no.

    UEFI for your model is primarily used for updates and diagnostics.
    You still use BIOS for everything else.

    So no booting Windows or Linux from UEFI?

    Pretty much the case ... just use a bootloader.
