As the title says, I can't find pics of a Steel Gray DV6 ANYWHERE. They're all that horrid brown Umber color. Can anyone offer some up?![]()

the dark umber is really nice in person. not so appealing with flash. it's virtually dark.
the silver can be seen in youtube videos. takes about 1 minute to find one. -
I just got mine in the mail last week. Will take a pic and post it tomorrow for you.
-
Waiting for the picture...
-
A simple youtube search would find you it....

Yeah the forum search blows. Use google with site:notebookreview.com instead. What did you decide? I love my steel gray and I think it looks really neat and professional.
-
Yep, I love mine also.

It is not the exact model, but as far as I know, they look identical. However, when I saw the DV6T in Fry's or Office Depot, it looked much nicer than these pics. -
The problem is I just can't STAND that HP moved to an offset trackpad + numpad setup for the DV6 this year. I absolutely HATE that because it just... it doesn't look right. It makes the laptop look "off". Which is such a pity because the DV6 is absolutely perfect in every other way, except for maybe having the same specs in a 14" instead.I'd be going for an i7 2620M model w/ 6770M 1GB and 1080p display.

I like the offset pad. It is more ergonomic for right handed people I think.
-
My main issue isn't that though... it's looks, plain and simple. -
You can rest more of your arm on your leg.

My only gripe is the damn flex in the keyboard... Seems like every other day I gotta re click the keyboard in.
-
I do like my dark umber... Its easy to maintain as well...
Its a matter of choice...
Whatever it is I should say that the DV lineup is just fabulous except for a few flaws here and there. Nothing is perfect! -

As requested, below are pics of my dv6 in steel gray...
