    I'm planning to purchase a momentus XT 750GB SATAIII HDD in the next few days, i know the chipset supports sata3 but will the connector, bios etc. support the drive?

    You wont really be able to notice the effects of sata 3 on that drive since its a hybrid cache drive, so i wouldn't even worry about.
