This is the link to what's been going around in different threads about certain HP Pavilions failing. I just want it to be easily accessible, because I've noticed some of these issues occuring in the forum and people coming here just to figure out what's going on with their computer. They may have no idea that this is the reason.

Hopefully, this will make it easier to get to the actual HP link without searching around, so here it is for you folks. I hope you're not one of the people with this issue, but if you are, at least you know where to start.

Thanks! This is the kind of information we can all use especially in times of need! So far no issues here (touch wood). Thanks for sharing, Jong81.

Yeah - like I said - I've been seeing people having a few issues ... my brother just got a dv6000 series laptop. I think people should bookmark it just in case. He asked me to send it to him today.

    Thanks Mckinney!

Hey Killer, give a guy a break for providing good info...as a reminder even. I am fairly new to this forum and have not run across this information, mostly because I don't have an issue with my laptop (hope I never will). It's information like this that would serve everyone better as a sticky so the information is at the forefront for affected owners. :)
