I own a DV6000z, custom ordered from HP with the 7150m graphics, that is just under a year and a half old. Recently, I started to see a thin vertical line about a quarter or third a third across the screen from the left, around a pixel or two wide. Depending on how you kajigger (very technical term) the line varies in color (red,blue,yellow,green,etc.). I tried hooking the computer up to an external display, and it worked fine. I removed the LCD and the connections associated with the LCD, (cleaning it while it was out because it is really the best way to clean an LCD), and reconnecting it however the line is still present. Is the problem most likely with the LCD itself, or one of the cables inside of the computer? What course of action should I take?

Thanks for taking the time to read this post!

The line is a problem with the LCD itself. If you still have a warranty send it in for replacement, with a whole line going bad it does qualify for the stuck pixels policy.
