I was trying to see what display mfg I have and when I went under Monitor in Device Manager it says "Generic PnP Monitor". Is this what I'm supposed to see or is this some issue. The laptop came with Vista Premium pre-installed from HP.

    Any Ideas?

It does that with my dv2000t running Vista Ultimate.

When I had XP, it listed AUO and the serial number.

Unfortunately, I think of another current side effect of the Vista move.

Isn't there a program you can download that shows you all the specs
