is there anywhere i can download all the default drivers the dv6000 came with when i first bought it? i had a faulty mouse and by trying to fix it i've messed up some stuff including some sound driver that i needed to make my usb headphone amp work properly. i'd really hate to reformat over something that seems so easily fixable.

    See: http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=166701

Post #4 or #5 had the url in it.

Not sure what you mean by 'which ones'?

If doing a fresh OS install, you'll need most of them.

I.e.: Chipset + sata, video, audio, modem, wired network, wireless network, touchpad, etc.

You may have to go to device manager on your system to narrow down areas where you see more than 1 option.
Example: When looking at 56k modems, you may see 1 Conexant driver, 1 US Robotics driver, etc. Validate what you currently have to determine which driver is appropriate for your system.

    Hope this helps.

is there a way to install them all at once rather than go through them individually?

Each driver should be correctly identified, then installed individually.

if no one can tell me how to fix these two specific drivers can anyone tell me if a system restore would recover the drivers i deleted without deleting any of my files/programs?

i liked XP because it let you go back to whatever restore point you wanted, in vista it seems you can only restore to what point you actually saved. seeing that i haven't saved any up to this point it looks like i have to start at square 1.
