For a while now my dv6150 has been getting more and more annoying. The fan on the bottom left hand side is very loud and seems to be running at full speed non stop. Even if the computer is sitting there idling i can here it from across the room. The cpu temp (core 2 duo) is generally between 50-54 degrees. Does anyone have any ideas on how to solve this. It is just over one year old.

Buy a cooling pad, like the Targus ChillMat.

Update your bios. Downgrade to .16, very cool, most stable bios ever. But if you have more than 2gb ram, do not downgrade as it does not have support for >2gb ram.
