your probably going to get the same amount of extra time with either the 12 cell or this tekkeon thing, according to the newegg specs. i'd just go for the 12 cell, less extra stuff to carry around

I have the same computer with which I ordered the high capacity 6-cell. I saw the 12-cell on sale a while later and bought it as a second battery. I think the 12-cell is your best bet. I've ended up using my computer primarily as a dvr since I have the HP tv tuner. I feel secure knowing that even if the power goes out for a bit, I'll not miss recording my shows for lack of power.

I agree. I have the 12-cell and it comes in handy A LOT ! Also, "if" you end up with the high-pitched whine sometimes associated with this machine, the fix is to change the BIOS which will eat up more battery....I also like that the 12=cell props up the laptop PLUS keeps it a little cooler

I would recommend the extended 6-cell if you planning on taking the laptop with you...its much sleeker without the bump on the bottom of the 12 cell and you should still be able to get 3 hours.

12 Cell because I don't quite trust 3rd party stuff.
