There are two devices I'm having problems getting drivers for.

One says "unknown device". In details, it says acpi\hpq006\s&daba3ff&0.
    Anyone know what this is?

Also, I can't find the driver for the USB 2.0 camera

I don't see these drivers on the HP web site, nor the swsetup folder I saved before I blew out the bloatware load.

Please respond if you can help!

    Did you try Windows Update?

The Unknown device is most probably the Quick Launch Button software. Install it and the QLB software and it should install the necessary drivers. As for the Camera, try downloading it from the dv2000z support page, HP shoudl be using the same camera software and drivers for all of their in built webcams.

You are right, it was quickplay. I figured it out by clicking on unknown device in device manager and it somehow tried to install some of the quickplay drivers but still left an error. That gave the clue it was quickplay, and I installed the drivers. I had assumed quickplay was related to the little quicklaunch buttons that show up in the start menu.
One of the xp i386 files took care of the usb error, but I'm going to take your advice and use the 2000 ones, thanks.

I also spent 2 hours trying to figure out why the wireless wouldn't work. I've never seen a shut off button like the one on the 6000z, I thought it was a latch for the monitor.
