    I received my dv6000t yesterday and the fans are loud. Is there any kind have fan control software out?

    You fan works extra hard when you task your system. It will get 'quieter' as it breaks in as well.

    Frequently update your BIOS and if you want to have more explicit fan control, get NHC (free).

    If u look under the laptop u will see vents for the processor/hard drive and Ram.
    I try not to use the laptop in my lap/on beds/ on rugs so not to obstruct these vents..

    As stated earlier when the fan breaks in it will be a bit quieter. I can hear mine, but I am used to it now,.
