I just took a look at Intel Matrix Storage Console, and found out that my HDD is ST98823AS, which is an Ultra ATA HDD (learned from seagate.com). But when I was chatting with an HP technician, he said that the HDD would be SATA (which is newer than Ultra ATA).

I'm not going to say that this is a scam, but my concern is that if I can upgrade to a SATA HDD with 3.0Gbs data rate, and will the HDD works at full capacity of 3.0Gbs?
