    Hi,

Can anyone confirm if the VGA to S-Video & RCA adapter work with DV6000t, because i want to have RCA output to the TV (my TV doesn't have S-Video in). My video card is at bottom of my signature. Thanks.

It should work if the adapter is supposed to convert to RCA output.

You may want to "Google" around for a bit, contact the vendor to see what their return polices are if it doesn't work as it was noted on the site that picture came from that it "may" not work with all video cards.

Doesn't your PC have an S-Video output? Seems very unlikely that a modern PC wouldn't have S-Video out.

You can get an S-Video to Composite converter from Radio Shack for about $5. Why not go pick up one of those instead?

I did check out at Radio Shack, it was $22 for it, and also i bought 1 at Fry's for $4 and it didn't work. Now i didn't really sure if VGA will work. I will give it a try. i saw 1 on eBay for $.99+$4.90 shipping=$5.

Which one did you look for at Radio Shack? They have a little one that isn't even a wire. It's just a plug. I saw it there for $4.99 or $5.99 I can't remember exactly.

It should work. Your nVidia drivers should allow you to specify composite output even though it is S-Video and it will help improve the image quality a bit. At least, thats how it was last time I had an nVidia card (how I miss their drivers :( )

I have an S-Video to Composite converter that came with a GeForce years ago and it works just fine on my dv5000.

Keep in mind that you might have to connect all the cables and THEN start your PC for it to recognize the connection. My GeForce4 had a little warning in the booklet that stated that the S-Video port tests for a full circuit at startup and you'd have to restart your PC if you connected a cable after startup.

It's just an adapter (no wire) and it's Radio Shack brand and price tag said $21....Anyways, the one i got at Fry's is exactly the same one, i didn't restart the computer after the connection, i'll try it when i got home.
S-Video 4pin Male to Composite Female is the adapter i used. Thanks for the advice.
