For all of those who have a DV6000t can you tell me whether you have any problems when using WPA2 Personal?

Mine should be here tomorrow :) and currently my router is set to wpa2 and I want to make sure that the DV6000t is compatible with it.

BTW the reason I ask is even though it is a new production PC I have help troubleshoot some other brands of newer PC's that didn't work well with WPA2.

Mine works just fine with either WPA, WPA 2, or WEP.

Do you notice any performance difference in the three, also have you tried the plain WEP for a while without any interruptions?

the only problem I had with WPA 2 is that my computer didn't come with the a windows update installed that enabled this option. It will probably be there already with vista however.

I will just use WEP if the DV6000t works good with it because were I live there is not anyone close enough to worry about.

But I have read that Vista OS works better with WPA or WPA2 but I really can't see a valid reason for that.

I would go with WPA-PSK/TKIP rather than WEP.

I have a dv6174 with an intel 3945 wireless chipset. WPA2 works fine with me. Haven't noticed any performance issues using it. AKAJohnDoe is right though. Go for WPA over WEP, if WPA2 doesn't work for you.
