So i bought an HP dv6150us the other day and had to return in today because the keyboard was loose on one side and the battery was loose as well. The one i picked up today was crashing left and right so i decided to test the memory. Turns out there is a bad stick of memory in the computer, ran memtest for 2 hours and had over almost 2 million errors on the bad stick. Has anyone else had this many problems or am i just having really bad luck with these? I really like the notebook itself and do not want to go with another brand.

Try another one. Sucks but hey it is good that you are testing the memory to find out now than later on.

Not at all. Burn the cd and boot from it. Let the computer sit for a couple hours.

I'm on my third DV6000z... first one had dead pixels.. 2nd one ended up getting a crack on the palm rest which was not the result of a drop or physical damage. Im on my third one right now which seems to be ok.
