I'm using my dv6000z to post this thread.
The laptop turns out to be very cool and quiet, everything is great but poor battery life; but that should not be a problem with plugin everywhere.
However, I could not figure out how to turn off the bluetooth. I asked the HP support and she said that RIGHT CLICK ON THE BLUETOOTH SYSTEM TRAY and DISABLE IT, but that just does not work; there's no DISABLE option there, and now I don't even know how to recall the bluetooth icon in the system tray.
    Could somebody help me, please.
    Thank you

Good morning... you can use the HP wireless assistant to turn off your bluetooth. If for some reason you no longer have that program and your bluetooth system tray icon has not ever been there this might help...on my DV6000 the bluetooth software was not installed by default. You must open the SWsetup folder on your c:\ drive and find the btooth folder. This holds the installer for the bluetooth software. I had the same question with my new lappy.

    Hope this helps

Thank you Colonelmusstard, you saved my day.
How about your integrated microphone? Is it really good? When I talked to my parents or anyone on yahoo, they said they only could hear the straching noise. Should I return it for bad mic? If possible, could you send me your voice sample? I'll provide the email in private when you say yes.
    Thank you

Clip-I have not used through any "messenger" type apps but when I used with the Windows Sound Recorder it was clear a s bell. You could try that to see if it is your mic.

Could you send me the sample you recorded? There's a lot of popping in my recording.
And it would take very long to exchange for another. Sorry for bothering you, but I just don't want to regret the thing I'm gonna have to do.
