Has anyone loaded Win7 onto a DV6000 series and did you run into any problems? After running Gibson Research securable.exe I noticed that Hardware Virtualization was locked off. Is there anyway to turn this on without a BIOS update from HP?
Thanks
Randy

I have Win7 Pro on my DV6000 series in my sig. and it runs very well. Win7 loaded all the drivers required on its own except the Nvidia driver which was installed via windows update. If you should have a driver problem you most likely can use either the Vista32 bit or 64 bit drivers depending on what OS version you intend to install.
Whether or not you can run Hardware Virtualization will depend on if your processor supports it. If you don't know there are programs which will test your processor, just google it. -
Thanks for the reply.
Good to know Win7 loaded most of the drivers.
I've already tested/read the CPU with a couple different programs. It's turned off in the BIOS with no option to turn it on. -

You have an Intel T5500 CPU, which doesn't support hardware virtualization.
