My new HP notebook came installed with vista home premium and to be frank.... I really don't care for it. I want XP back. I've downloaded like sooo many drivers from the HP site for my notebook and also some from the other notebooks in the DV6000 models. But my question is... what will I need to download to get my remote to work? I've searched everywhere (including here) and I can't find anything. And my notebook came with a 5 in 1 memory card reader, and has a DVDRW optical drive with Dual Layer support and Lightscribe but after I install XP will my system recognize these and allow me to use them entirely. Because I don't want to sacrife my Remote, 5 in 1 memory card reader or DVDRW/with lightscribe functions. Any tips? I tried looking all over the site before posting these questions but I just couldn't find anything pointing to these specific things I'm looking for before I downgrade my OS.

    Which XP do you have?
What program did you try to use the remote with?
I used it with Winamp and Windows Media Player and it works perfect.

I need help with the device drivers that has errors:
Base System Device (PCI bus 7, device 5, function 3)
Base System Device (PCI bus 7, device 5, function 2)
Base System Device (PCI bus 7, device 5, function 4)
Coprocessor (PCI bus 0, device 10, function 3)
Other PCI Bridge Device (PCI bus 0, device 20, function 0)
SM Bus controller (PCI bus 0, device 10, function 1)

    Also my ethernet doesn't work.
