    DV6500 and 6600 series easy Xp driver setup. ( AMD only. )

    I have made a complete Driver Pack for Windows XP for the DV6500 and 6600 series. It may work on other Dv6xxx models too, so give them a try. The drivers are based on the posts and links i found all over this forum.

    This is for AMD laptops with the geforce 7150m only.

    Install windows Xp like you would on any machine. once you inside windows run the file below and click on restore. its that simple.

    I have tested these by reinstalling windows and using them, it worked perfectly for me, and maybe for you too ...

    All the standard Drivers are included as well as Sound Fix, Working remote control and working quicklaunch buttons above the keyboard.

    My laptop specs are as follows :
    Model number : Dv6611ei ( 560 chipset )
    Amd Turion X2 Dual core 1.8Ghz
    1GB DDR 2 Ram
    Nvidia 7150m Graphics
    5 in one card reader
    160GB Sata drive
    TV - Out
    firewire
    Wireless lan
    Touch controls above the keyboard
    Expansion port
    External Monitor output
    Lightscribe multi DvD recorder
    Mic built into screen.
    Remote control unit.

    do you think this would work on my dv6525em model i have the 7150m 2gb ram nforce 630m. i was actually really thinkn about putting xp on it aswell and here are all the drivers even.

    Yeah, it should. Basically all dv65xx and newer models(dv66xx/dv67xx/dv68xx) share the same hardware.

    okay,cheers min. think ill give it a go,after all if i dont like the install of xp or something goes wrong i can always install vista from the recovery disc,but im sure things will be okay.

    Thanks alot! Didn't solve all my problems, but atleast my sound is working this time. Will complement with some drivers for WLAN etc, but atleast the sound is working. Good job!

    Hi Raymerjacque, i have a dv6611ei and i rolled back to xp from vista - i managed to use to drivers you provided and it worked. But there is only one that is in yellow now - Ethernet Network Controller - Can you assist me with a driver for this please. thanks in advanced !!

    It seems no body gonna answer according to thread starting date however, what would i lose to give a try.

    I installed all the drivers you have provided and all work fine except the following:

    -1394 Net Adapter
    -NVIDIA nForce Networking Controller #5

    So could you please help me out?
