Hey guys, I'm trying to order a DV6500T wondering if it will support a 7200rpm SATA drive, thats the only I dont like about it right now is no 7200rpm drives I can order with it.

If it's got a SATA connection, then there's no reason why it can't support that speed. As long as the connection type is correct, everything else doesn't matter.

It should support it but the problem is the dv6500 only has one hard drive bay so you'd have to clone the drive or install a clean OS to use it. This will require some knowledge about computers and drivers to pull it off successfully. You can check the stickied threads at the top of this forum for XP or Vista clean installs for more info.

yup first thing when I get this laptop is wipe it clean and reinstall with xp pro, well I feel confident now hearing that it takes a 7200rpm, and yeah I'm gonna pop a single 7k200G HD in it from newegg. THX
DV6500T will it support 7200rpm SATA drives?
