Greetings - I just did a search on this subject with no hits - so I hope this isn't a duplicate. I just saw (via Google) that H-P plans on bringing the 6500/6600 out with 8600GS graphics? Hopefully this means that they'll (finally) drop the 8600GT into the 9500 series. Does anyone have any more info about this??

HMMM you might just get lucky, but the best would be the 8700GT into the DV9500T then I will be the first in line up.

Don't forget that HP just purchased VoodooPC last year to fill the HP void in the gaming market (or as some would say, a response to Dell buying out Alienware).

In other words, if HP is going to release any high end gaming hardware on their notebooks, it will most likely not be found on the Pavilion line.

It would be like Ford Motor Company releasing a luxury sedan under the Ford brand. It would essentially be placing a product in the wrong market, and that wouldn't help their other brands that already have a presence (Mercury, Lincoln, Volvo, Jaguar).

I dunno Folks - with Dell releasing the XPS 1530 today with an 8600GT option - H-P needs to do something soon. Maxing out a 15" lappy with an 8400GS seems so....so Y2K. Don't get me wrong - I like my 6500 but a gaming machine it isn't.
