I was wondering if i could change my processor current is a T5250 with 1.50GHz that is very Weak for gaming and multiplied tasks. I contacted HP and they said that i wouldnt work with my Motherboard. But when i searched my what my chipset support it said that i could have an Intel core 2 Duo processor with max 800MHz - 533MHz and so on. and my chip is Intel(R) GM965 Express Chipset. i was wondering if i could change and what that is the best i can buy

Just letting you know, that by doing this you're warranty is going to be voided. But I believe you can use the Santa Rosa CPUs, the t7700 is the highest(though I'm not 100% sure).

I would of thought so if this guide Compatibility Guide is to be believe.

If seeing is believing these two are the highest you could go, if I'm reading this guide correctly: Core 2 Duo T9300 2500 6144 800 + Core 2 Duo T9500 2600 6144 800

Time to break open that piggy bank!

P.S. I'd upgrade just for the advantages you'd get from running a CPU using the 45nanometer architecture, which will keep your laptop cooler while saving power by the way of having the fan less in play and way less annoying.

The only problem I can see is the one who have with comprehension

Well Thanks for all the help but will it be problems with my motherboard?
