    As soon as you get the laptop in burn the recovery disks. Copy the swsetup folder (contains all the software installers) on the C: drive to either an external HDD or burn it to DVDs. Then do a clean install. You will notice the difference and be able to truly use the full potential of your laptop because it will be free of all the crapware that HP fills it up with.

    http://www.windowsanytimeupgrade.com/disc if you don't already have a windows vista disc for a clean install, new HPs don't come with a copy of vista anymore.

    Envision if you put swsetup folder onto DVDs can you install them straight off the DVDs?
