    DV6735NR w/ TV Out?

    I have an HP DV6735NR laptop that features both a VGA and S-video out. I have a VGA to component RCA cable that I could use to connect to my TV - will this work? If so, how? I tried last night everything I knew and I could only get a bad form of snow on the TV.

    I am getting the TV manual to check on its settings, but I couldn't figure out a combination to make it work - does it need to go through S-video to work, or what am I doing wrong? TIA
