    DV6755US won't boot after ram upgrade

    I just attempted to upgrade the ram in my DV6755US w/ 2x2GB DDR2 800. When I booted it up it beeped (can't remember for how long). I then shut it down and rebooted. Now it won't boot. I don't get any bios beeps, nothing on the screen. I've tried w/ some other ram; same story. I also tried booting w/o any ram and the same.

    Did I manage to toast my laptop?

    Did you take out the battery and AC power when installing the RAM?

    Try taking them both out, holding the power button for 30 seconds or more and starting up again only using AC power

    You should also take out the ram you installed to see if the laptop works. If yes, then you may not have seated it correctly (so reinstall) again. Once I did not install a piece of ram properly and had a similar beep sound and no joy on the computer.Re-seated and it worked great.
