I just bought the White/silver SE version DV6770. I think I got a great deal at Fry's for $799 but I have one concern. It gets pretty hot on the bottom of the notebook especially when multitasking or gaming. My question is, wont it shorten the life of the notebook getting hot like the AMDs do?

Yes heat will slightly reduce the lifespan of your notebook

Get a notebook cooler or undervolt your processor if your worried

the heat from beneath is mostly from the HDD

Thanks flipfire. Do you think heat is enough of a concern on the AMD laptops and reliability to warrant the extra money it would require to get this notebook with an Intel processor?
