Okay, so I just upgraded my dv6799ea from 2GB ram consisting of 2x1GB modules to 2x2GB modules, and everything has gone hunky dory I thought.

Since I have booted into windows my fan is going on solid all the time, this machine never used to break a sweat and the fan was rarely on now I can feel the heat on my legs when using the laptop and I never had this issue.

I looked at speedfan and seems everything is up by a few degrees, and somewhat more strangely in CPUID and other benchmrking programs my 2.1ghz T8100 CPU is now running at 2.193 Ghz solid all the time no matter what power scheme I select.

    What gives?
