    DV6910ea - No power with power adapter

    Hi,

    Bought this laptop without its power supply. The guy mentioned in broken English he thinks there is something wrong with the DC jack inside the laptop.

    Works with other batterys from working laptops.
    Tried using a 90W, a 65W and some other HP replacement adapter. No lights light up with any, and it does not charge the battery

    I also tried to change the DC Jack with an older model DV6000 with no luck.

    Used a volt meter, and power is going into the main board. Not sure what to check next.

    I know the obvious thing would be to replace the mainboard, but it works with everything else. Would be a shame if its just a simple resolder job.
