    Hello,
I recently decided to upgrade to windows 8 and I like it a lot, but there is one major problem. I installed all of the proper drivers from this page:

    http://forum.notebookreview.com/hp-...dv7-6xxx-envy-14-2xxx-envy-17-2xxx-intel.html

Whenever I run any microsoft applications such as Internet Explorer or Flight, every 5 minutes or so they freeze and display this message:

    ie8-2_thumb.jpg

Strangely enough, non Microsoft applications such as Google Chrome appear to work fine - no crashing at all...
    Any ideas?

    Thanks

I have the same problem with Win 7. I strongly believe that the problems are with GPU (both Intel and AMD) drivers. I was using default drivers from HP for win 7 and I hadn't had any problems, when I've upgraded to the newest drivers (12.11 Leshcat), I've got the same problem as you, but most of the time it appears when I want to start the program, especially Windows Live Mail, MS Word, and other software created by MS.

I will downgrade my GPU drivers when I'll have more free time. I'd advise you to try other drivers as well. It might be a problem with newer Intel GPU drivers.
