I configured and bought a DV6t for my dad. I'm configuring it for him and everything is great, except the Intel WiFi 1000 BGN card is extremely slow. I've tried installing different drivers, from HP as well as Intel sites, with no success.

By slow I'm getting 30KB/s at BEST. Sometimes it starts out fast, then quickly drops like a brick.

I've tried setting the adapter and router to 11g only and still same result.

Anyone have similar issue and hopefully resolution?

    Nevermind...

I removed the wi-fi card, removed and replaced the antenna wires, reseated and secured it and now it's working well.

    Sigh.

It's an awful card. Glad you got it working properly. Sometimes the QA at HP is a little suspect.

I just wish we could swap out the card for a different model but apparently we cant. Stupid HP.
