A couple of minutes ago I was looking online at HP's DV6T QE and it's only available in 5400 RPM drives or SSDs. I was just curious if anyone has any idea why.
When I asked HP support out of curiosity I got the answer of "Regrettably, we don't have visibility to your query. However, as far as I know, if we added the 7200 RPM on this particular model, I believe it will to incompatibility which leads to destroy the unit itself." Which makes no sense because they've had them before, and this is a "High Performance" laptop.
I'm incredibly sorry if this is a repost, but searching "5400 RPM only" seems like it would of resulted in far too many results to be fathomable to sort through.

Probably because there are supply problems due to the flooding that happened in Thailand.

I still find the support's response for why to be hilarious. -
I must've got one of the last of the available 750GB drives in 7200 rpm on my DV6TQE that arrived last Monday, as they are no longer an option on the customization screen.
