Hey guys! i bought a 6100 a month ago but really didnt test out its gaming performances since i play all my games on my desktop. but recently i started to play a few games but i noticed a problem. CCC no longer has slider for mipmap detail level. for this reason some textures of games dont display right (ex. guild wars).

i have tried changing registry so that maybe it would show up but no luck. later i tried ati tray tool to change it that way, and it actually works! i was able to change mipmap detail level to "high quality" and notice textures are showing up right in games. but, ati tray tools only works like 10% of the time, other times i get BSOD when i try to open it. im guessing it has to do with HP's custom driver. btw im using .2000.

i havent tried other driver. is there a way for mipmap detail level to show up? or can i change CCC somehow so that the hidden mipmap detail level is set to "high quality"? or is there another way to set it other than ati tray tool? thanks!

I'm not exactly sure, but someone on the forums mentioned that "Catalyst AI Texture Filtering Quality" under 3D Application Settings in CCC is the mipmap detail level. Try turning that to high quality and see what happens.
