I can't get an answer in the notebook cooler thread in accessories, posted twice and its been two months, people just skip mine. I also posted in the DV6T thread and no one replies.. I thought I would just post a new thread. Can anyone recommend me a notebook cooler? My temps are garbage, I put on Ice Diamond and my laptop is on high performance and only one firefox open and its at 60c. Room temp is normal, about 72. I see people talking about having a lot of tabs open in there internet while still maintaining 40c somehow :(.. Anyways I was thinking about the Zalman 2000, or the NZXT Cryo. Thanks.

I have an Enermax Aeolus, that I have had for a year or so, under my dv6z and even without being turned on it facilitates a 2-3C drop in a cool room because it is aluminum. Turned on it drops it another 2-3C and it is very quiet. I would recommend that or the NZXT, both are cheaper than the Zalman but work just as well.

They work just as well, are you saying the zalman is still better?

I still recommend the Notepal U2 by cooler master.

As an added bonus, if you have a Fry's nearby:

$20 at Amazon with great reviews. I actually use it without the fan (most of the time) since the added height of the stand makes it more comfortable for typing or whatnot. Also, you can stuff the laptop in between the stand for portability. Solid piece of brushed aluminum, too.

i dont know if you got one yet but +1 on the U2 cooler. very portable and good fan placement because you can move the fans to the proper areas.
