    I have installed GTA4 + latest patch (1.0.7) + .net framework 1.1 & .net framework 3.5 sp1 + latest direct x.

GTA4 will launch, I will hear the background sounds (games for windows live swooshing by, main menu, ect) however there is no video whatsoever (black screen).

I think I am either missing some key software, or it is a bug with the llano drivers. I have tried with crossfire enabled and disabled (GTA4 is DX9 so it should not use crossfire)

Could another DV6Z llano owner please test the game out to see if they have the same bug? Thank you.

Running latest 11.8 catalyst drivers and latest bios.

Works fine for me, runs a little slow but it definitely works. Running 11.6 stock with the windows update thing. I'm playing the Steam version btw.

    You could try uninstalling/reinstalling.

Thanks man. I already reinstalled twice, I must be missing something.... Mine is boxed version not steam.

UPDATE: This is no joke, I went to uninstall the game, it starts the uninstall, then the game LAUNCHES on it's own , and its working fine. Case closed. It works.
