The recovery includes your windows 7 license. Nobody is gonna just give that to you.

My hp pavillion just crashed due to a virus - I think... I ordered the recovery disc from HP. It came via mail within a few days. I put the disc in, and my laptop "froze". It took 3 or 4 times, but it finally began the reboot. I was surprised that only ONE disc was/is all I need. I'm actually going thru the process (not on this laptop) now. My computer has been rebooting for almost 4 hours, logging off and re-starting about every 5 minutes. The recovery CD was about $10 plus S&H. Not sure if this helps... good luck!
