i was looking through the customization page again for the dv6z-se

and realize that, they have remove the free upgrade for BD-ROM and instead, put the Free Upgrade to 6gb Ram instead of the 4gb ( was )

phew, i feel i am lucky enough to ordered the Laptop where they are still offering the BD

as i already bought a good 6gb of RAM (Mushkin) for $90 from some website rather than the $150 price tag they now put on the BD-ROM which is $60 more expensive than my customized price

im curious, did the Promo Free upgrade for dv6z-se always changes?

HP has been alternating between the RAM and bluray upgrades on the Select Editions since they came out. I am glad I got mine during the bluray one as well. It is much cheaper and easier to buy a 4GB stick of RAM than it is to get an internal bluray player.

good jump on the BD i guess its worth it. hopefully it works out well for you. Ram is pretty expensive for laptops. after you get your 6gb's i suggest you sell your 4gb to makeup for any losses.
