    DV6t FHD Serial Number or Product Number needed

    Can any of the dv6t FHD owners post their Serial Number or Product Number in order for us to know the cable part number used in this version

    I do not yet have mine, but from much research I am 100% positive that the screen is a AUO B156HW01 v.3. Many current owners have reported this already.

    Edit: oh snap, you were looking for product number of computer itself, not screen. Anyway, not going to delete, maybe you can find it helpful.

    The product number for the dv6t-6100 is LM720AV. I'm not sure which cable you are talking about, but the part number for the only part in the aptly titled "Cable" category is 640422-001. You can take a look yourself in HP Partsurfer, here.


    The dv7t-6100 product number is LM726AV, for those curious.

    Edit: If you still haven't recieved your computer, your serial number and product number should still be available when you look at your order in My Orders on the HP Store site.

    That's in the LCD parts list.

    Service manual might reveal what's included in that kit.

    Looking up LM720AV product number, i found these two display cable kits:

    1. 640423-001 Display Cable kit IMR
    2. 644362-001 Display Cable kit ALU

    if the two kit is used for the display, then (just a theory) one used for 720p panel, and the other used on 1080p panel.
